Thanks, onlyconnect.

Gave it another try today. Don't see any major difference as to how I
tried it (except perhaps starting with a cheap USB cable rather than
going with the Supra USB cable via the iFi iUSB) but lo and behold, it
worked (after the second try or so, switch to digital output first and
then going back to USB). Both Kernel #11 and #12 made sound with my
Esoteric's K-03 USB input. #11 showed adaptive mode, so I tried #12 and
I was in async (Haven't gone back to #11 to try again). Putting the
iUSB back into the chain presented no problem, as for switching in and
out of the Esoteric's USB mode. Tried 44, 88, 96, 176, and 192 and they
all worked. May have heard a glitch few and far between but it was so
slight that I wasn't sure if it was a glitch or if it was part of the
music. As for sound (can I mention it here?), initially it seems
slightly more midrange heavy than when I was using the iFi iLink and
feeding Esoteric's SPDIF in, but I haven't really used the Esoteric's
USB input in ages so I will be giving it a little time to settle in and
see how it goes (sound seems to have opened up a bit in the hour since I
started playing music over it)

I continue to be amazed by the adaptability and possibilties presented
by the SBT and am truly thankful that heroes like Triode are making
things even more fun! Thanks!
