I've seen this happen off and on for years: 1. The display lags one song behind 2. The progress bar doesn't show times or movement 3. Playback is no longer gapless (in fact, this is usually what alerts me to the fact that it's happening) I can usually fix it by attempting to skip forward to the next track, which actually restarts the currently playing track and synchronizes the display with what's really playing. I have usually seen this with long playlists generated by Erland's Dynamic Playlists + Custom Skip plugins but generally not when playing an album or two, though I remember it happening once when the only thing on the playlist was the live 3-CD Crowded House album...and I added that album explicitly, not via plugin. I'm not sure that I've seen this yet with 7.8 or 7.9, though it was a semi-frequent annoyance with 7.7. I have never seen anything in the log indicating a problem, though I didn't look every time.
