There are a number of ways to control Squeezeboxes headlessly.
If you have a Smartphone you could always use an app.
With an app you can control a Squeezebox Touch even if it's running
TinySC (the onboard Server).

If you run LMS on a NAS or computer you could simply access the player
from a web browser, which is the method I happen to use 95% of the
time.
Open your favourite web browser and type 192.168.xxx.xxx:900 and you'll
open the http page that allows LMS access.
For example - on my network LMS is running from a NAS, and its IP
address is *192.168.0.7* , so to address LMS I need to enter
*192.168.0.7:9000* .
My computers at home are running Windows7.
If you run Mac then you might have to prefix the IP address with
*http://* - I know you need to do so with an iPad.

Fingers crossed your SBT has not suffered fatal damage.

Chris :)
