Yes you can connect the Transporter to an external DAC (using optical or S/PDIF coax). The DAC in the Transporter is quite good so it seems way overkill to use it to simply drive a different DAC. I don't have your DAC, but in looking at its specs, etc. I'd be shocked if it was better than the internal Transporter DAC. Either the Transporter or TOUCH will deliver bitperfect data to the DAC, and either can handle 24/96 files. How cheap is the Transporter? Many people get a TP simply because they like the way it looks in their system. I love my Transporter, but if it broke tomorrow, I'd replace it with a TOUCH feeding a DAC. *Home:* VortexBox 4TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Transporter, Touch, Boom, Radio (all ethernet) *Cottage:* VBA 3TB (2.3) > LMS 7.8 > Touch > Benchmark DAC I, Boom, Radio w/Battery (all ethernet except Radio) *Office:* Win8(64) > LMS 7.9 > Squeezelite *Spares:* Touch(3), Radio(3), Boom, SB3, CONTROLLER *Controllers:* iPhone6 & iPadAir2 (iPeng8 & Squeezepad), CONTROLLER, or SqueezePlay 7.8 on Win7(64) laptop *Files:* ripping: dbpoweramp > FLAC; post-rip: mp3tag, PerfectTunes; Streaming: Spotify ------------------------------------------------------------------------ garym's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17325 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104472 _______________________________________________ Touch mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/touch
