There is no such thing as an Ethernet to USB adapter cable (or if there is it doesn't make sense). USB is a standard for connecting two devices with each other, and the standard includes physical, electrical and logical aspects. Ethernet is only a physical/electrical standard, but normally you run IP (Internet Protocol) packets over it - allowing multiple computers and applications (not simple devices like a hard drive) to talk to each other.
