Most vulnerable part of the system has been wifi. You could be experiencing interference (neighbors on same wifi channel, other...). If you can run wired ethernet, that will be more stable. I run my players on a mix of wired and wireless. Part of the reason I added ethernet wiring within the house was to move devices off the wifi.
