I am almost certain with the Duet Receiver that you have to CONFIGURE it
as either wireless or wired. I have one running wired, but I am almost
certain I had to re-configure to get to connect wired (although that may
have been to configure with a STATIC IP). I remember the process wasn't
easy, and I think I ended up using the net-udap utility rather than the
Controller to get it to finally configure correctly. That was several
years ago. I do recall at that time that running a Static IP address
seemed to help overall performance, although I don't know why - and much
has changed since then (several LMS revisions, for example). I DO know
the Duet is the most difficult of the Slim/Logitech Squeezebox devices
to setup networking on.
