In theory keeping it lossles is all you need , so defaults settings is good .
There I s really no probable mechanism to alter the sound of the Touch when it plays lossles files . These mods have really nothing to do with theory but rather strong beliefs ? And a lot of very biased evaluation . The file types settings are really there for compatibility reasons, with older players strange server OS running on certain platforms , weird web radio encodings and other corner cases . You resort to meddle with these settings when something plainly does not work .
