It's only a problem if your network (or it's associated hardware) is
weak/limited.  Some people can stream HD movies over WiFi while someone
else may get buffering and playback issues streaming simple mp3's. 
Wiring the server is always the best practice to avoid the "double WiFi
hop" of server & player.  Making simple/basic WiFi tweaks can eliminate
most issues.

I can stream full WAV's to four SqueezeBox players simultaneously from
LMS running on a WiFi laptop.  While others must have a wired server to
get any reliable playback at all.
