Yes you *can* use the LMS web interface to control your Touch when
playing files from an attached SD card or USB stick. 

I put a handful of Christmas albums on an SD card put it in the Touch's
slot and rebooted, TinySBS scans the card.

LMS > Settings > Plugins > install the "Remote Music Libraries" plugin.
