Sure, but what's the favoured way of connecting computer to Touch? It's too difficult to get an ethernet cable connection to the location of my music system. Wi-fi was unreliable, worked sometimes, but often broke. Powerline adapter worked longer, but more recently I experienced IP issues. I will now try connecting the hard drive through a powered hub.
