Okay, I've installed foo_upnp 0.99.17 and am trying to set it up.

I wasn't sure where the StreamLaptopwav.m3u file needs to go. In my /var
I have no /www directory. Is that simply the location of your LMS
playlists directory? Mine is elsewhere.

You'd said in your earlier message that StreamLaptopwav.m3u should
read:

Code:
--------------------
    #EXTM3U
  #EXTINF:-1, Laptop wav
  http://ip-of-foobar:8081/laptop.wav

--------------------

but in your more recent post you said it should be:

Code:
--------------------
    #EXTM3U
  #EXTINF:-1, foobar wav
  http://lo:pw@ip:port/content/psc.wav
--------------------

where 56923 is the port of the upnp server.

I set it up that second way, and created the Favorite, and configured
Internet Access with the foobar PC's ip and password as you said. When I
"play" the Favorite LMS starts the .m3u "stream", and Squeezebox Touch
displays "Gathering stream info". But then it throws an error saying "No
items in playlist".

I don't like putting my foobar PC's login and password in the .m3u and
don't see why that info is needed just to stream foobar out. So removed
my login and pw from the path in the .m3u and also turned off "Allow
Internet access". I get the exact same result as above, with "No items
in playlist".

Then I changed the .m3u to your first example, and then with the "8081"
changed to "56923," but neither works.

I'm not sure what to do in the ->Tools->UPnP->Server settings. I do
notice there's no streaming profile for LMS.

I'm also not sure what you mean by

> So now you need to get foobar on ip address ip-of-foobar to stream wavs
> to the LMS ip on port 8081 (or whatever you choose and open in your
> firewalls).

Do you mean I should set up the Proxy server in ->Networking and use
port 8081? Exactly how should that be set up?

TIA

Les
