This problem is now sorted. I was supposed to receive an OTP from the ISP icw the newly-installed Fibreline, but never did. Weirdly, browsing worked fine for me, speedtests showed excellent results but matters like streaming were not working.
Sorted this out with the ISP, somewhere there was a big in the system preventing me from receiving SMS's from them (they stated I had opted for no SMS's, not so, I did not do this) but shortly after this the SMS did come through and my Fibre connection worked 100%.
