I seem to be able to connect fine using LMS and iPeng without going through Spotify Connect. Thanks for the clarification, I hadn't realised that there were issues with Spotty and Spotify Connect, in fact I assumed Spotty was designed to work with SC. I eventually got SC to work correctly but will bear this in mind for the future.
