Sorry again for the radio silence. I'm finally mostly recovered from the heatstroke I got at Texas Linuxfest, had to catch up at $DAYJOB with deadlines I'd fallen behind on, the dog had an emergency that wound up keeping her at the vet for a couple days, during which my house got mildly flooded by:
http://kxan.com/2014/07/18/storms-drop-6-inches-of-rain-in-parts-of-austin/ So it's been a week. (You'd be surprised how annoying a quarter inch of water on the floor can be. Luckily while the power on both sides of the street was off I noticed the dome light left on in the car, so we didn't have a dead battery on top of all that. And my phone has tethering so I can still access the internet until we get the cable modem replaced.) All that said, I've finally got the new find code checked in and squeezed a couple bugs out of it yesterday, and I noticed that a clean checkout still had the old nbd-client code in pending so if you built "allyesconfig" things broke. I'm trying to get find finished, and I have mostly finished mount and dd implementations, and then next up I've had multiple requests for mdev. Next release is aimed for end of August. I really want to clear out as much of the pending directory as possible. (The kernel guys call theirs "staging", maybe I should have used that name...) But first, I gotta talk to the large man frowning professionally at my floors and baseboards. (Did you know water can get trapped under pergo and linoleum? The things you learn....)
