I'd be inclined to say "Don't bother with more as a short term fix.
Properly implement less, and symlink it to more."  Since you have an
implementation of more your folks are using, it's not like they are
left with nothing while they wait.

It's not that hard to retrain back.  If you aren't using the
additional features, and just paging forward through something like an
output list, less might as well *be* more.

Once your folks actually *have* less, I think the old habits will
return in short order.
