Hello everyone,
I'm open to suggestions about what the focus for the 0.3.2 release
should be. I am planning to do the release in less than three months and
I'm open to suggestions on what I should concentrate one.
What 0.3.2 will not include,
* tp04 protocol support. This is a major change and is waiting on
libtpproto2-py being finished. 0.4.0 will be the first release
to support tp04 protocol.
* Research support. This is pending tp04 protocol support.
My current plans include,
* Adding ability to report bugs on crashes and other problems. The
helper should collect all information about the client and help
the user write a good bug report.
* Adding more help screens (and the ability to turn them off :).
One of the biggest problems new users face is not knowing what
to do. I hope to add help screens which pop-up for a first time
user. I've already started building the framework with the "no
objects" pop-up window.
* Playing a RFTS game to the end. I would really like to get a
RFTS game all the way to the end without hitting any
tpclient-pywx bugs. 0.3.1 added a bunch of changes which already
makes RFTS much more playable.
Thoughts? What do you hate about the client (apart from it being ugly)?
