Also there are some AI students around as well, who also have related
problems, and of course anyone writing a client also has some thoughts
on the issues involved. So there are lots of people who can contribute.

Quite the opposite in fact, success in one area can help other students
succeed - ie fix a bug in one code base can help others.
I'd also suggest you all subscribe to the commits list so you can see
what is going on there too.

As a mentor... I'm very happy for you to communicate here. There is no
point intentionally segregating the population for 0 gain. Besides it
allows you guys to get involved in other conversations as well.
