And you also need to deal with cardinality vs ordinality with turn
numbers too... ;-)  Is turn 1 the first or second turn in RFTS?

That smells like stuff to add to game description.  No reason to send
that info to every client every couple of seconds.  Besides that sort
of info starts to get hard to make machine readable - a short string is
not so hard.
