Hi Neil,

The integrated Agent Controller in 4.4 is seamlessly integrated with the
workbench, and will start up automatically when you start a profiling
session (unless, as you pointed out, there are some configuration
problems).

It sounds strange that you don't have JAXP installed. I thought it is a
standard Java feature since version 5.0....

Thanks,
Asaf

Subject: [tptp-tracing-profiling-tools-dev] Agent controller in latest
build

Hi Guys,

I downloaded a new stable build of 4.4 last night and noticed it has a
plugin with an agent controller installed.

However to run a profile I still need to start an agent controller
manually...

I couldn't get the bundled agent controller configured because I don't
have JAXP installed so I just fired up an old one and everything
started working.

Is this all meant to be totally seamless? Should I even need to start
an agent controller by hand to run an instrumentation based profile?

Cheers,
Neil
