This is clearly FUD, and should be ignored as with all such nonsense.  
No one remembers seeing any requests for help on the ML or IRC  
channel, so I guess "everything" was a pretty small list of things.  
Chances are the upgrade being referred to was 0.10.x -> 0.11dev. It  
was (and still is) a known issue that 0.11 uses more RAM than 0.10 did  
and early in the development cycle this was reaching truly ridiculous  
levels, I remember seeing the Trac process on dev.laptop.org getting  
up to 1 or 2 gigabytes of usage. Since then we have fixed much of  
this, so the usage is generally pretty close to the 0.10 levels. So  
again, FUD.
