Hello there guys,

A few days ago, I posted this message (see below) to the trac-users group,
but I realize now that maybe it is more suited to the developer list, so I
forward it here as a new message to avoid cross-posting with the other list.
I hope that this is OK, and I'm sorry if not...

Best wishes,
Leandro.

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry to bother you if this had already been mentioned before. I did
some research before posting and couldn't find anything here nor in teo
tickets...

My though is to have the same functionality that the post/pre commit hooks
enables, but for wiki changes. That way, you can name a ticket in the
"Comment about this change" entry for wiki pages, and when submitted the
change would appear on the ticket movements. I would thing about the same
format that appears on the timeline for wikichanges would fit nicely as
comment on a ticket.

Then, perhaps, a macro could be done, similar to the TicketQuery, that
extracts all the tickets referenced from a given wiki page and generate a
list from that, that can be placed on a floating panel, maybe just below the
Outline... so yu can have some cross referencing between tickets and wiki
pages made automatic...

I think, but I'm not entirely sure, that it could it be done in a plugin,
but I also think that is a good feature to have include in the core Trac
distribution...

So, I ask, what do you think: It fits as a core feature? It is worth to open
a ticket on TEO for this enhacement? I didn't want to go ahead blindly
before questioning here...

I wish I could volunteer myself to make this change, either as a plugin or
by contributing a patch, but lately I have little to no spare time
available...

Thanks for any response,

Best regards,
Leandro.
