Hi Silk,

During the last year we collected a list of improvements that we (and
others we've spoken to) believe would make Trac better. Of course there's
isn't much new there compared to the existing Trac wishlist / roadmap. Our
view was always that we wanted to put time into building out some of these
things (Multiproject support springs to mind for example).

Both. The packaging is important - installation experience and first
impressions really count. I'm not saying the minimalist approach Trac takes
is wrong, but it doesn't suit a busy person choosing a defect tracker and
wanting to quickly evaluate and compare features, usability, functionality
etc.

So there will be effort spent on packaging, look and feel, and generally
supplying a more complete product out of the box. There is plenty of
functionality that we hope can be added within Bloodhound, some supplied by
existing plugins whose authors we'd hope to work with and some needing to
be written from scratch. Of course we're still in the planning period and
nothing has been locked down regarding specific deliverables or a roadmap.
I'd re-iterate that while WANdisco is leading this effort we don't plan to
dictate the roadmap. It's a community project and these decisions will be
made within an open group.

Best Wishes,

Ian
