Feels like:
either this ticket should have its summary changed ("customisable
formatting for tickets & commits") or should be closed! (cause its summary
is more or less done in 0.9 isn't it)
As a compromise between the two:
Suggest that something be on the lines of [EMAIL PROTECTED]'s 09/22/05

The first step would be to have the config options:
* ticket_wiki_formats =
* commit_wiki_formats =
Each of which would have only two possibilities: WIKI_ALL or blank (or
maybe PLAINTEXT might be a more readable synonym).
Other features proposed in the comment (the very nice or'd set) could be
then introduced when/if the wiki engine gets refactored.
I'd suggest that this option if implemented would close this ticket as
resolved and the or'd proposed becomes a new enhancement ticket (with a
very clear scope).
