The only unknown left about this issue is that nobody reported if 1.4 
with swig 1.3.29 is also affected, but given the nature of the problem, 
I doubt this will help.
You're best choice right now is to go with the workaround that jonas 
found for #3455,
which I've link to in http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/2611#comment:67.
