Well, we know that for some it works flawlessly, yes, that's why the
code is still in.

Well, "ad-hoc maintainer" would be more correct... Look at
http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/986 for the history of the mysql support.
It's true that I did a lot of support in the mysql area, well, mainly
because nobody else was interested in fixing those issues. But in the
end that was too much of a time sink, for a feature in which I had only
superficial interest, hence my statement above. That statement was also
a kind of wake up call that this subsystem was lacking a real maintainer...

I can only tell you that *I* won't spend more time on that.
OTOH, the main issues we're seeing with mysql support are coming from
the versioncontrol cache, which I actually intend to rework for 0.12.
The design of the new cache, whatever that ends to be, will be done in a
way that takes into account the limitations of mysql.

No, I don't think we'll actually ditch mysql support. As I said, it
mostly works, and the situation will improve by itself on the 0.12 horizon.
Of course, getting a more dedicated maintainer for this part of the code
would be a pleasant surprise for us ;-)

You're welcome.
