Hi, I have been searching around for helps on how to associate user session ID with the name we set in Settings, but I just cannot find the right answer anywhere. Please help. I am using v0.10.4, the stable release.
Right now, we are using Apache with LDAP to authenticate users and hence the session ID is the LDAP ID we get. However, that is very confusing when we assign tickets or look at timelines....that we only see some numbers (the LDAP ID) and it's really hard to remember everybody's LDAP ID... However, since there's a settings page with Name and Email address and Trac can pick up each individual's email address to send notifications, I am wondering if it can do the same for Name throughout the entire interface (i.e., displaying users as their names if available, or else the id).
