Hello,

We're looking to replace our current bugbase. Fairly interested in
Trac because of the web interface, integration with Subversion, built-
in wiki, and the possibility of Bitten. A bit worried about plug-
in's On one hand it seems great that there are so many. But on the
other it's worrisome that so much functionality one might expect to be
built into the core product remains implemented as plug-in's.

My questions:

How often is functionality implemented as a plug-in that is clearly
wanted by many users incorporated into the core product?

How well do plug-in's keep up with the current version of Trac? I
understand the current back-log may be due to the template engine
change - what's normal? I see some popular ones whose authors seem to
be absent.

I hope I don't sound critical. I think Trac looks like a great
product. Just trying to get a feel for what to expect and whether we
can use it.
