I have been thinking for awhile that a really cool plugin would be an egg 
builder + exporter.  In other words, given a python package in the svn repo, 
make an egg (built dynamically, or maybe cached if the source didn't change) 
available for download.  There are of course many issues with this that would 
make this less than trivial, but I think its entirely doable, at least in 
simple form, and would certainly make plugin installation easier.
