Here are some of my thoughts about your first question: I'm not sure that this is possible to send emails about every ticket open and closed using pure trac. From my point of view there are 3 ways of solving this case: * I'm sure that on trac-hacks exists some plugin that can do this * the other way is to write a small script that will run every 15 minutes, access the trac database find out what was opened/closed and send that info tho the email * trac has rss of the timeline. so, in theory, you can use something that sends rss to email
