The users of our Trac system use the user name assigned by the company for general computer access. We have been informed that the user names will be changing in the near future. The name includes some organizational info, and the organization is changing. Not my system...
In preparation, I am seeing what effect this will have on Trac. Obviously, I could just let them log in as the new users. The problem is the history of their activity, and references in pending tasks. The best solution would be for me to be able to change all references to a user in Trac from the old one to the new one. I think the main place this is a concern is in the ticket system. Any names references in the wiki (e. g., as the modified of a page) are less critical. It is the ticket system that i think requires continuity. Any suggestions on how/what would need to be changed for each user? I guess it is best for me to find out all the places in trac that might need to be changed. Then, for each, determine how to do the change. It should be a change that is done all at once for all users. Is there a list like this already? Or is this a new task? -- Roger Oberholtzer -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Trac Users" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
