OT: I might be wrong ... but , AFAIK, the kernel distributed with Mac*
computers is proprietary (it's been a long time since I have no time
to read the newspapers ... so CMIIW) . Nonetheless , for the issue
stated by the OP , that's superfluous , was just a comment .
