This is perhaps a bit of a stretch to do in email, but I'll give it a try. We are setting up a small group (10 people) to provide project-based support for a large institution. Individuals will come to the group with a project and the group will provide analysis services for data that the individual provides. We want to provide these individuals feedback on the status of their project(s), results in the form of files, and documentation of methods, etc., on wiki pages. In addition, there will be MANY individuals submitting projects, so we need to have a unified way of viewing tickets across projects. We would like to do rough timesheeting (not really time-based, but more like how long a project takes from start to each milestone). Obviously, we would need to access-control each project. Finally, we need to create some custom priorities that are not "software specific" and ideally have a ticket types that make sense in our project workflows.
I think most of this is possible with Trac, but I wondered if folks might be using Trac for doing stuff like this and could share insights. In particular, I am very interested in using Trac for dozens of projects and options for reporting across project.
