ok here is what I know He was following the Trac Installation Guide 0.12 for Linux.
Installed the following: Python 2.4.3 /usr/bin/python2.4 setuptools /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/setuptools-0.6c11-py2.4.egg Genshi /usr/lib/python2.4/site-packages/Genshi-0.6-py2.4.egg Installed MySQL-5.0.77-3.e15 SQLite-3.3.6-5 PostgreSQL-8.1.11-1.e15_1.1 PySQLite-2.5.0 Apache 2.0 (httpd-2.2.3-31.e15) Ran python ./setup.py install I think he also did some setup for the tracd webserver I can click on his links and launch in the Internet Explorer I cannot login (has not configured authentication - Question do you need that to login as trac-admin?) On Linux box, he tells me I need to run sudo trac-admin to launch any commands. Apparently he was able to run the initenv command this way and created two play projects to test it. created in /apps/trac/projects/projecta and projectb Also in /apps/trac is cgi-bin and htdocs So am I right that the only thing we may be missing is the configuring of authentication? I am just wondering how to do that if right now I can't run trac-admin except using sudo Thanks!
