Trac needs access to the repository itself, so the simple answer is "No, subclipse is not an option" FYI, my choice when I setup Trac and subversion here was to use vanilla subversion binaries (I use alagazam.net but you need somewhere that will give you python bindings too), latest 2.2 apache httpd, PostgreSQL (plus python bindings) and mod_wsgi. These all work well plus we use mod_ldap to authenticate against Active Directory. As the Trac dB and subversion repository files are (should be!) hidden from all users (except the server apache user) it does not really matter what your clients use...
