Hi Reinhard,

My real custom fields are long and can have up to 3 underscores. I have a few
of these fields too.

Since the system was deployed in production for some time, renaming the
internal field names will affect older tickets saved in trac.db.
I prefer not to rename. If the DynamicFieldsPlugin has parse issue with
underscore, I will see if I know how to tweak its source.

I found the javascript option for dynamic dropdown
http://javascript.about.com/library/bldydrop1.htm

but ticket.html in Trac source has to be changed involving with Genshi stuff
that I'm not good at.

Thank you for looking into this.

Canh

Subject: [Trac] Re: One custom field change affecting another custom field

I am not a JS programmer but I had a conjecture: Do the names of your
custom fields contain underscores "_"? In a test, it worked for
custfield2 and not for cust_field2 (my field name in the test was
different but this should not matter). So I suppose that the plugin
has a parsing error.

I myself would prefer to solve such problems with Genshi but then you
see the automatic change only in the preview or after submitting.
Probably, this is not necessary here - the internal field names are
not visible for the user, just try to rename them ...

Greetings,

Reinhard
