Hello,

I have been tasked to upgrade a Trac 11.07 instance to the current version which requires Python above 2.4 version. It is running on a RedHat enterprise server 5 (RHEL5) which has Python 2.4 as the default and it seems that if I make Python 2.6 the system default, it may break a number of operating system python scripts.
I have installed Python 2.6 which is invoked as "python26".
I am looking into upgrading the OS to RHEL6 which has the newer Python, but if I have to stay with RHEL5/default Python 2.4: If I have to stay with Python 2.4 as the system default, how do I configure Trac to use the Python 2.6 binaries?

  Thanks. /rw
