If you describe how you configured Apache we may be able to help you debug 
the issues.

You may be interested in the Bitnami installer for OSX. I have no 
experience using the installers for OSX. The installer for Windows works 
well in my experience and many users on this list have reported success 
using it. If you give the installer for OSX a try, we'd appreciate if you 
can share your experiences with the mailing list.
