I am not clear how universal the "postN' convention is.  It's a bug in
the modern world that many different languages and projects make a new
numbering schemes, imposing a requirement on many packaging systems to
sort them all properly.  I think it's best to stick to just numbers --
1.0.6.1 would be unambiguous.
