In pkgsrc, we have a separate ja-trac, dating from a time when localization was hard, at least for Japanese. There is a proposal to remove it as no longer useful.
I am curious about the experiences of people useing trac localized in Japanese. Does the current release just work fine assuming locale variables set? Is there any reason to want to do anything more complicated?
