Did you check the log file to see whether Trac does try to send an email to the SMTP server ? Are you sure that an email sent on the behalf of [EMAIL PROTECTED] can be send through mail.ecisecurity.com ? You can also try to setup a proxy and observe the traffic between the client (Trac) and the SMTP server. Google "tcpproxy" for example.
