I was looking at installing this patch because I think it offers some
important functionality (I can't *tell* you how many incomplete bug
reports we get around here), but I'm a little unclear about something.
The patch page on Trac Hacks
(http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/BasicFieldValidationPatch) indicates that
the patch was made to the 0.9.5 source. Does this mean that it was
included in 0.9.6? Does it simply mean that the change was made to
this code base and only this code base? Is it safe to apply the patch
to 0.9.6?

My python skills are minimal (read: non-existent) so I'm not all that
comfortable making these judgments for myself. If anyone has any
insight or input, I'd appreciate the feedback.

Thanks.
