I'm considering upgrading Trac on my production machine from 0.9 to the vc-refactoring branch. The main code repository is in Subversion, but I'm also experimenting with Mercurial and the Mercurial Trac plugin. That plugin requires the vc-refactoring branch of Trac.
I'm wondering if I will be able to upgrade to Trac 0.10 from vc-refactoring, once 0.10 is released. Was there any incompatible change, e.g. schema change, that could prevent the upgrace from vc-refactoring to 0.10 ?
I could install two versions of Trac, one for the Mercurial experiment and one for production using Subversion, but I'm kind of shy having to resolve all the paths correctly so that the versions don't interfere. If possible I would like to stay with one common version for all projects on that machine.
Let me know if you have any advice or opinion to share.
