TracForge is also slowly working towards this goal, though this specific feature is a ways off.

Awesome, thanks.
I looked long and hard for something like this about 6 months ago and did a lighter search earlier this week that didn't turn up anything new. However, TraM looks promising (I followed the link in the ticket).

drew,

I asked for the very same feature some days ago, even opened a ticket for this:

Bottom line is: Right now you can't do it with trac. The hdf context doesn't contain all the objects that are there during normal operation with a trac environment. There's some effort going on to provide a multi-project version of trac now (some spin-off called "TraM", see ticket comments), and the support for multiple projects is scheduled for trac-2.0, aka. "not very soon".

The "Available projects" page (as we see it today) seems a bit hackish to me, it's not integrated with the rest of the trac core. Thus you can't just extend it with a plugin or else. HTH,

Subject: [Trac] Hiding projects in 'Available projects' page per user

Hello

I'm trying to figure out how to change the 'Available Projects' page in order to show/hide certain projects based on which group the user is in. Yes, I know they won't be able to get into project pages w/o the proper security settings.... However, I don't want them to even be able to see what projects I'm working on. It's possible to do it with a php script, but why install another package if I can do it through Trac? I don't know how to access the variables from the template; they don't seem to be available somehow (not much shows up with ?hdfdump).

Thanks
-drew
