Andrew Barnert added the comment: Despite what msg2912 says, Rietveld is still sending messages with the developer's name in the From: header.
When the developer and the recipient happen to be on the same domain, this sometimes works (and many of the core devs are on gmail, so they may not notice it...). But otherwise, it will usually get the message filtered as spam (e.g., for developers on domains with no DMARC, like many corporate domains, even tech companies like intel.com, or domains that are heavily forged, like gmail), or even blocked (e.g., for developers on yahoo.com, which uses DMARC p=reject). ---------- nosy: +abarnert _______________________________________________________ PSF Meta Tracker <metatrac...@psf.upfronthosting.co.za> <http://psf.upfronthosting.co.za/roundup/meta/issue554> _______________________________________________________ _______________________________________________ Tracker-discuss mailing list Tracker-discuss@python.org https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/tracker-discuss
