Without further research, it seems that there is 2 steps: 1) Processing of the superstructure of the mail archiving system (MBOX, MH or MAILDIR), with the particularities of each one, in file organization, sequential file with all folder emails in MBOX, directory for folder and a file for each email in MH and directory for folder, new, current and temp subdirs depending upon the state of the email, and a file for each email in the corresponding subdir, for MAILDIR; 2) Each email message per RFC 822 has some a structure with a kind of metadata, the fields for To, From, Reply-To, CC, parts, etc, in the plain text file. tracker-gnome-search and nautilus, are not recognizing the structure defined in 2). ROX and Thunar and others do recognize. I will complete the installation of Gnome, check in a Gnome session and inform here. -- A. C.
