That would prove if Clay has pins 2 & 3 reversed. Don't forget that the
null modem adapter would also need pin 4 connected to pass power to
the GPS. He could also check to make sure that he's feeding 5V to the
GPS and not (fatal) 12V. Oh... scratch that thought. I see he's using a
T2-135. Your null modem comment made me think he was using an
OT2m - hi! - but he could still check the wiring. It would be easy to
check on a PC. Just haywire / breadboard something to feed data to
the PC and feed power to the GPS.
