>> Make sure BMODE is AUTO and BBAUD is 4800, and then try the POSITION command to see if it's got a valid fix."
> I was thinking that POSITION was only for setting the location of the station or telling the T2 to listen to the GPS. Does the statement above imply the I can get my current position by entering POSITION? Just used the excuse of grabbing my coffee mug and went out to the car. Entered in "POSITION" and lo and behold, the position was returned. So, SmartPalm can be position aware if it can be updated to send: 1. Three Ctrl C (enter command mode) 2. position (request position) 3. AMODE KISS (return to KISS mode) Then SmartPalm can be position aware. Anyone up to making that happen? I am not capable yet. :( The position could be polled at set intervals, 1 sec?, or upon reception of a packet. I am not sure of either having an advantage at the moment since Smart Beacon works in the T2 anyway. > Is there a way through KISS to request the position information? This question still stands. If so, then changing to command mode and back is unnecessary. Thanks! Best regards, Fred
