I got the cable from Scott, the Nuvi is powered from the cradle, and the
Nuvi is connected via the cable from the rear of the radio to the mini port
on the Nuvi, am using port A from the back of the radio, and the radio is in
digital mode, ie: it has the digital symbol in the upper right of the radio
display, as for perhaps being crossed over, I have no way of knowing. Thanks

Port B on the front of the DR-135 isn't bidirectional... i.e. it accepts
incoming data from a GPS, but there is no connection for outgoing data.
You must use port A on the back of the radio.

Assuming the cable is wired correctly on the radio end (i.e. both
transmit and receive data and ground are connected, and not crossed over
which would make it a null modem cable) the only thing that comes to
mind is that you are running the Nuvi 350 on the internal battery
instead of powering it via the connector on the back of the cradle...
unless you don't have the radio in "digital" mode.
