Scott, If you've any Linux live system CD, you might want to try and see if it could boot up and running.. just to make sure that nothing is wrong with the whole hardware setup. Another quick one if you don't really want to go ahead with slipstreaming is by disabling native SATA support in the BIOS.. some BIOS will let you do this, some not. Have not playing a lot with PC hardware lately either ..
